Townsend Leadership Program Structure
Each month, your TLP group will meet one full day from 8am to 5pm with your Dr. Townsend trained TLP Director, Chris McFarland. (See Chris’ bio). Your fellow like-minded group members will support and work together through the TLP training segments of:
Work Group
Benefit from your team’s collective knowledge during high-value, confidential analysis segments.
Check-In
Chart stretch goals and individual progress through roundtable accountability.
Didactic
Participate in teaching based on Dr. Townsend’s unique competence and character leadership model.
Process Group
Receive understanding, feedback, and solutions from fellow members for your situation.
Setting Homework
Create self-assigned actional homework that moves you closer to your goals.
Monthly homework partner calls and one-to-one coaching with Chris will further your growth and strengthen what you are learning so you can reach excellence.

Townsend Leadership Program FAQ
Commitment:
TLP is a one-year commitment. This is to ensure each member’s growth; thus, members commit to attend each month. With that being said, life does happen, and there is understanding if the year commitment cannot be met.
Dates:
Groups meet one full day each month on a pre-set schedule. Dates of each team vary based on the start date. Group start dates vary throughout the year; request more information about the next group starting!
Location:
TLP meetings take place in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Group members:
Each group has a minimum of six (6) members and a maximum of ten (10) members to maximize personal and professional growth outcomes.
Application process:
Each member applies to ensure the group purpose fits the individual’s purpose, allowing the group to trust each other and grow deeper. Each member commits to confidentiality, ensuring honest and open conversations.
Personal coaching:
Part of joining TLP is a one-to-one monthly coaching session with Chris, set by both of your schedules.
Stretch goals:
Stretch goals are set with Chris and your team members to help you achieve big-picture goals that are most important to you, impacting your leadership, organization, vision, relationships, and your life.
